Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, arrives in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh – To travel to Makkah for the Umrah ceremonies, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam arrived in Jeddah on Sunday.

Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the deputy governor of the Makkah area, the Saudi Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Qasabi, the Saudi Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Imad Al-Muhanna, and other high-ranking officials met the sultan at King Abdulaziz International Airport.

Brunei and Saudi Arabia are close brothers. Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, met in Riyadh in February with Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof, the second minister of foreign affairs of Brunei. The ministers talked on measures to strengthen and advance the close ties between the two nations in all spheres.

Additionally, they talked about how to create a unified strategy for regional and global concerns.
The two parties considered ways to strengthen their alliance in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
