Royal Decree appoints a new governor for Diriyah

Riyadh – On Sunday, a royal proclamation named Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki the governor of Diriyah.

A separate royal edict issued last Sunday removed Prince Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Abdulrahman, the previous governor of Diriyah, from his position.

The Diriyah Gate Development Authority is trying to make the neighbourhood into one of the most significant cultural and heritage sites in the world. Diriyah is the home of the first Saudi state.
