Monday’s trip to Tunis by Syria’s foreign minister, Faisal Mekdad Foreign ministry of Tunisia


On the invitation of his Tunisian colleague, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad will visit Tunisia on Monday, the foreign ministry of Tunisia announced on its official Facebook page on Sunday.

Mekdad’s visit, which comes after his trip to neighbouring Algeria on Saturday, strengthens Damascus’ opening to the Arab world after it was cut off for more than a decade.
