As the founder, chairman, and managing director of Aster DM Healthcare, Dr. Azad Moopen commented, “Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s ‘1 Billion Meals Endowment’ campaign is a fantastic effort to solve the issue of world hunger. We consider it an honour to have assisted in feeding millions of individuals in need around the world over the past few years.

Campaign for 1 Billion Meals Endowment
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the “1 Billion Meals Endowment” initiative on the first day of Ramadan in order to create the largest Ramadan sustainable food aid endowment fund.

The “1 Billion Meals Endowment” campaign is a continuation of earlier food aid campaigns, which began with the “10 Million Meals” campaign in Ramadan 2020, were followed by the “100 Million Meals” campaign in Ramadan 2021, and the “1 Billion Meals” campaign in Ramadan 2022.

The 1 Billion Meals Endowment campaign in Dubai has received donations from 120,000 donors, including large donors, individuals, enterprises, and private- and governmental organisations, raising a total of 750 million dirhams (Rs 16,67,73,05,655) in 20 days.

How can I Donate?
The ‘1 Billion Meals’ campaign continues to accept gifts and contributions to the endowment fund from organisations and people through five major methods, including the campaign website.

Donations may also be sent by bank transfers in UAE dirham to the campaign’s Emirates NBD bank account number (AE30 0260 0010 1533 3439 802).
