Saudi Arabia Expands Humanitarian Aid Across Four Countries
Riyadh – Saudi aid agency KSrelief continues to deliver vital support to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities, expanding its humanitarian efforts across Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, and Afghanistan to address urgent needs and improve living conditions.
In Yemen, KSrelief’s prosthetics and rehabilitation center in Hadramout governorate provided medical services to 519 amputees over the course of a month, delivering a total of 1,925 services that included measuring, manufacturing, and fitting prosthetics, along with delivery, maintenance, rehabilitation, and physiotherapy.
The agency also distributed 1,250 cartons of dates in the districts of Al-Shihr and Ghayl Bawazir, reaching 7,500 individuals and helping to alleviate food insecurity among vulnerable populations affected by ongoing humanitarian challenges.
In Somalia, KSrelief distributed 1,000 food baskets, providing essential nutrition support to approximately 6,000 people and ensuring that families in need receive critical assistance during periods of scarcity and limited access to food supplies.
Similarly, in Sudan’s Red Sea state, 550 food baskets were handed out, directly supporting hundreds of households and contributing to the stabilization of vulnerable communities facing ongoing economic and social pressures.
In Afghanistan, KSrelief distributed 840 food baskets and cartons of dates in Balkh province, extending aid to hundreds of needy families and ensuring that essential nutritional support reaches populations affected by conflict, displacement, and economic hardship.
Since its establishment in 2015, KSrelief has implemented 3,881 projects across 109 countries, with a total investment exceeding $8.2 billion, making it one of the Kingdom’s most significant initiatives in international humanitarian assistance.
The agency’s programs span multiple sectors including food security, health services, education, water and sanitation, shelter provision, and early recovery projects, reflecting a comprehensive approach to supporting affected populations in fragile environments.
