Johannesburg – Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a series of diplomatic meetings on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, engaging with officials from Egypt, France, Argentina and Vietnam to discuss ongoing cooperation and regional developments.

The discussions reflected Saudi Arabia’s continued engagement with global partners and its focus on strengthening dialogue during a period of evolving international challenges.

Prince Faisal met with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, where both sides reviewed the state of bilateral relations and broader regional issues.

The conversation highlighted shared concerns regarding regional security and the importance of joint efforts aimed at ensuring long-term stability across the Middle East.

The two ministers emphasized the need for ongoing strategic coordination as geopolitical shifts continue to influence regional environments.

Their meeting reiterated the commitment of both countries to maintaining a steady and constructive partnership as part of wider regional cooperation.

Prince Faisal also met with France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noel Barrot, to discuss the expanding Saudi-French relationship.

Both sides exchanged views on current regional dynamics, including developments with security and humanitarian implications, and the efforts being made at the international level to address emerging challenges.

Their conversation touched on cooperation in various sectors, reflecting a continued strengthening of ties in areas such as economic collaboration, cultural exchange and strategic dialogue.

The discussions reaffirmed the mutual interest of both countries in maintaining momentum toward deeper engagement across multiple domains.

In another meeting, Prince Faisal held talks with Pablo Cuervo, Argentina’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship.

The ministers reviewed the state of bilateral relations and explored ways to support further cooperation in trade, economic development and cultural exchange.

The conversation also included a broader discussion of regional and international issues of shared concern, emphasizing the value of partnership in navigating global changes.
Both delegations highlighted the importance of maintaining dialogue to identify new opportunities for cooperation.

Additionally, Prince Faisal spoke with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to discuss mutual interests and expanding collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.

Their exchange covered economic ties, diplomatic coordination and regional developments, underscoring the importance of continued communication between the two nations.

The meetings collectively reflected Saudi Arabia’s engagement with partners across multiple continents at a time when global challenges require coordinated responses.

Through these discussions, the Kingdom continues to position itself as an active participant in international diplomacy and dialogue within the G20 framework.

The conversations also affirmed shared priorities among participating countries, including support for stability, constructive cooperation and sustained communication on regional and international issues.
