Youth at the Center of Saudi Arabia’s Future Vision

Riyadh – Saudi Arabia placed strong emphasis on the role of its young population as the Misk Global Forum opened in Riyadh.
The event gathered innovators, thinkers, and creatives to explore youth-driven ideas and long-term development goals.

Minister of Sport Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal underscored the importance of investing in young people.
He noted that nearly 70 percent of the Saudi population is under the age of 40, making youth empowerment a national priority.

Prince Abdulaziz highlighted that building a strong generation is essential for shaping the Kingdom’s future trajectory.

The forum, hosted by the Misk Foundation, began its sessions at Mohammed bin Salman Nonprofit City, also known as Misk City.
This year’s theme, “Created by Youth,” focuses on encouraging young people to lead conversations and propose real solutions.

Organizers said the theme reflects a broader mission to transform youth from participants into active creators.
The event featured workshops, panels, and programs designed to strengthen skills and inspire new ideas.

Prince Abdulaziz emphasized that ministries and national institutions engage with youth regularly to support their development.

A standout initiative at the forum was Misk 20 under 30, spotlighting 20 young achievers making significant contributions.
These selected individuals were recognized for projects that address social challenges and spark positive change.

One honoree, Zubair Junjunia, founder of the digital learning platform ZNotes, shared his experience after receiving the award.
He explained that the platform began in Saudi Arabia more than a decade ago and now reaches millions of students globally.

Junjunia said ZNotes has impacted over six million learners by improving access to high-quality educational resources.
He described the recognition as a meaningful milestone, reflecting years of dedication to education equity.

The forum also highlighted long-term initiatives such as MGF Webinars and Majlis X, which offer year-round engagement.
These programs connect youth with experts, build future-ready skills, and promote open dialogue across global communities.

Organizers noted that these tools strengthen digital learning and provide young people with continuous opportunities for growth.
They offer platforms for students and professionals to interact with industry leaders and gain practical insights.

This year marked the ninth edition of the Misk Global Forum.

A committee of 15 young creators from various countries co-developed the program, themes, and speaker selection.
