Saudi Crown Prince, Lebanese President Discuss Bilateral Ties in Riyadh

Riyadh — Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Monday in Riyadh to discuss regional developments and strengthen bilateral relations, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Upon his arrival at Al-Yamamah Palace, President Aoun was welcomed with an official reception ceremony before engaging in discussions with the crown prince. The meeting covered key issues concerning Lebanon and the broader region, with both leaders exploring ways to enhance cooperation between their nations.

Senior officials from both Saudi Arabia and Lebanon attended the discussions, underscoring the importance of the diplomatic engagement.

Prior to his visit, President Aoun emphasized that his trip to Saudi Arabia served as an opportunity to reaffirm the deep-rooted ties between the two countries. He expressed gratitude for the Kingdom’s ongoing support in maintaining Lebanon’s stability, security, and institutional functions, as well as the financial and humanitarian assistance extended by Riyadh over the years.

The meeting comes at a crucial time as Lebanon continues to navigate economic and political challenges, with Saudi Arabia playing a key role in regional diplomatic efforts.
