Saudi Arabia and ALECSO Sign MoU to Enhance Arabic Language Education

Riyadh – Saudi Arabia’s Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) and the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to strengthen cooperation in the development of guiding criteria for Arabic language curricula in education and the establishment of teaching standards.

The MoU was signed in coordination with the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, reflecting the commitment of Saudi national institutions to augment ALECSO’s work through increased partnerships and collaborative projects.

According to a report from the state news agency SPA, the joint declaration of intent encompasses several key objectives. One of the primary goals is to prepare comprehensive guidelines for distance teaching of the Arabic language, ensuring that students have access to high-quality educational resources even in remote learning environments.

Additionally, the MoU emphasizes the importance of conducting training programs, working sessions, and capacity-building initiatives for experts and specialists in Arabic language instruction.
