UAE summons Sweden’s ambassador over Koran burning in Stockholm

Dubai (Reuters) – The United Arab Emirates summoned the Swedish ambassador on Thursday to protest against the burning of a copy of the Koran in Stockholm, the UAE foreign ministry said in a statement.

For its part, Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry issued a statement condemning the burning of the Koran by a protester outside a mosque in the Swedish capital on Wednesday.
