King Salman of Saudi Arabia supports the beginning of a national charity drive

Riyadh – According to the state news agency (SPA), Saudi Arabia will begin its yearly national campaign for charitable endeavours on Monday.

Prior to its debut, the third iteration of the Ramadan campaign had received King Salman’s approval.

Utilizing the national Platform for Charitable Work (Ehsan), created by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, the campaign will allow participants to give (SDAIA).

The platform has been improved, according to Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, president of SDAIA, to reach a bigger segment of donors who can make their contributions across multiple online-listed charities.

Al-Ghamdi stated in a statement that the site “presents a secure and trusted payment method to collect donations and facilitate aid to beneficiaries.

” The platform has raised more than $880 million since its inception, helping more than 4.8 million people. 

Al-Ghamdi claimed that the initiative was a part of the Kingdom’s efforts to increase its outreach to recipients and raise funds in an effective and dependable manner.
