Joint Visa to visit Saudi and UAE to be launched in 2020, UAE’s Economy Minister announces

Date:

Riyadh — A new Joint visa to visit both Saudi Arabia and UAE is expected to be launched in 2020 as both the Governments are in close coordination for the initiative, UAE’s Economy minister Sultan al-Mansoori announced during Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh on Tuesday.

Al-Mansoori said that this is among the initiatives that have been developed and approved by the concerned authorities.

He said, “This initiative aims at taking advantage of the enormous potential and great measures taken by Saudi Arabia to facilitate the entry of tourists to the Kingdom,” reported by Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper.

“Officials from UAE and Saudi Arabia are currently holding joint meetings to work out the regulations for implementing this initiative,” he said.

He believes that the new joint visa will benefit national companies in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and will give much more stronger impetus to cooperation and coordination between them. Also, it will boost the tourism sector as well as airpots and hotels.

He added that the flights between the two countries are insufficient and there’s a huge need to double them.

Saudi Arabia and UAE have long enjoyed a warm relationship with their cordial venture in Yemen to restore legitimate Yemeni government.

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed said on September 4 that, “Our shared goals are security of the UAE and Saudi Arabia and stability of the whole region. We also share a common destiny and future.”
