Afghan-origin Sufi Guru Zarif Baba shot dead in India


Mumbai — The Afghan-origin famous Sufi guru Zarif Baba who was settled in India, was shot dead by a group of four unidentified assailants in the Yeola town of Maharashtra on Tuesday.

35-year-old Khwaja Sayyad Chishti was shot with a pistol in the forehead by the assailants, after which he immediately died, Police said.

After the murder, the attackers seized the SUV used by him and fled the spot.

Yeola police registered an offence of murder case and an investigation to catch the killers has started.
