Riyadh – King Salman of Saudi Arabia announced imposing of curfew from 7 pm until 6 am for 21 days starting from Monday evening, in order to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.

The Kingdom’s interior ministry will take all necessary measures to implement the curfew, and all civil and military authorities should cooperate with the Ministry in this regard, according to SPA.
Curfew will be imposed on all sectors excluding employees of vital public and private sectors, military and media personnels, and workers in the sensitive health and service sectors.
Saudi authorities have told the citizens and residents to stay at home during the curfew, and not to venture outside except in cases of extreme necessity during the curfew duration.
The primary focus of the curfew is to preserve public health as the risk of coronavirus pandemic has affected the country.
Saudi Arabia has reported 119 new cases, making a total of 511 cases.
