Islamabad – A social media activist and a blogger from Pakistan’s Islamabad was killed on Sunday by unidentified assailants for speaking against the Iranian expansionism project in Pakistan.
22-year-old Muhammad Bilal Khan was stabbed in the G-9/4 area of Islamabad and was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, Pakistani media reported.
According to police, the assailants persuaded Khan to meet them, after a course of a short discussion, Khan was attacked with knives which subsequently killed him.
Khan originally belonged to Gilgit-Baltistan and was a Shariah graduate from the International Islamic University of Islamabad (IIUI), according to Express News.
Khan was highly vocal in three major areas: liberalism in Pakistan, honor of the Prophet that is to raise voice against Qadiani movement, and honor of the Prophet’s companions that is to raise voice against slandering of the companions.
According to his social media followers, Khan spoke diligently through his Vlogs and Blogs to pass a bill in the Pakistan’s parliament that criminalizes slandering or abusing Prophet’s companions.
Khan had over 39,285 followers on his Facebook account, over 20,000 followers on his Facebook page, over 16,000 followers on Twitter and over 48,000 subscribers on YouTube.
