New Delhi – An English guest lecturer has started selling vegetables for livelihood on the roads and streets of India’s capital city of New Delhi, after losing his job due to an order imposed by the government, ANI reported.
34-year-old lecturer Wazir Singh was working at Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya in Sultanpuri on a contractual basis, however the government announced that contract-based teachers would not be paid after 8th May and their names would not appear in the list of teachers.
Singh urged Delhi government to give his job back and said that a lot of guest lecturers who worked on contractual basis are currently struggling hard for livelihood as the schools remain closed due to COVID-19 crisis
