Dubai Missile Alert Withdrawn Within Minutes as UAE Authorities Issue All-Clear

Dubai-Authorities in the United Arab Emirates briefly issued an incoming missile alert for Dubai on Friday before instructing residents to disregard the warning and subsequently sounding an all-clear, with officials providing no immediate explanation for the sequence of alerts.

The initial alert was issued shortly after 5:15 p.m. local time, prompting concern among residents before a second notification advised the public to ignore the earlier warning. Minutes later, authorities confirmed the situation was safe by issuing an all-clear.

Officials did not immediately disclose the cause of the false or withdrawn alert, and there was no indication of an active missile threat targeting Dubai at the time of the notifications.

The incident occurred amid heightened regional tensions following reports that Iran is suspected of launching a drone attack against a commercial tanker off the coast of Oman on Thursday. The reported attack comes as Tehran continues to challenge the United States and regional maritime security over control of the Strait of Hormuz despite the current interim agreement related to the Iran conflict.

Authorities have not linked the Dubai alert to any specific security incident, and no damage or casualties were reported.
