Kuwait City – Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad passed away at the age of 91 on Tuesday, Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan announced on Kuwait TV.
The Emir was hospitalized on July 18 for medical checkups and on July 19, he underwent a successful surgery.
Later, on July 23, the Emir was taken to United States for a complete medical treatment.
However, the Emir’s office did not disclose the reason for the surgery or the treatment he had in United States.
