Eight locations in Kasargod and Dakshin Kannada have been searched by NIA teams since Sunday, leading to the confiscation of numerous digital gadgets and documents with information on transactions totaling several crore rupees.
According to NIA, the PFI and its cadre continue to spread violent extremism and were arranging for weapons and ammunition to commit crimes despite the ban. Mohammad Sarfraz Nawaz and Md Mahammad Sinan were hunted by the NIA investigators because they were reportedly depositing money into the bank accounts of PFI case suspects.
The NIA claimed that while looking into Iqbal and other associates who had allegedly generated money from Dubai and Abu Dhabi and given it to Mahammad Sinan, Sarfraz Nawaz, Abdul Rafeek M, and Abid K. M. in India, it was able to follow the money trail, uncover the global conspiracy, and establish links to the funds.
According to the NIA, its investigations have found that Mohammad Sarfaraz, Md. Sinan, and Md. Rafeek deposited this money in various bank accounts belonging to the accused and the suspects. These 5 accused will be brought before the NIA Special Court in Patna.
Further investigations are being conducted to track, identify, and close the Peoples Front of India’s illegal international and domestic funding networks (PFI).
