Riyadh — India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval was invited by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday to discuss the Kashmir issue and to de-escalate tensions between India and Pakistan, official sources informed.
According to Indian Media reports, Doval and the Crown Prince also discussed a variety of bilateral and regional issues, including the missle and drone attacks on Saudi oil installations in September, and the ways to strengthen anti-terror cooperation.
India abolished Article 370 and Article 35A on August 5 in Kashmir, which gave a special status to the Kashmiri region. Since then, there has been a complete communications blackout in the region.
Since Saudi Arabia is a key pillar of India’s energy security, and at the same time it’s Pakistan’s primary-ally. Saudi Arabia is a major role in de-escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
