Saudi Media Forum 2023 kicks off on Monday, Global media leaders gather under one roof

Riyadh — Saudi Media Forum 2023 kicks off on Monday in Riyadh with global media leaders, industry experts, professionals, ministers and officials will be gathering under one roof to discuss the latest trends in the emerging media.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), more than 100 working papers will be discussed during the two-day forum, and international experts will take part in brainstorming sessions and workshops to develop ideas for bettering media content and offering answers to problems affecting the industry.

Panel discussions with the Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, and the Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi will also be held during the forum.

The Saudi Broadcasting Authority, the Saudi Press Agency, MBC Group, Al Arabiya News Channel, and Rotana Media Group participated in the first initiative of its kind to qualify Saudi broadcasters in connection with the forum’s activities. The initiative includes a hands-on component to assess emerging potential through a committee made up of media experts.

Participants in the forum would discuss recent advancements in immersive technologies like ChatGPT and artificial intelligence in media, including the metaverse.

The forum will also announce the winners of its prize, which aims to enhance media content and the media environment in the Kingdom as well as promote competitions and professional creativity.
