Iran’s Mullah regime hangs Rape-victim for murder in self-defense

Tehran – Iranian woman who defended herself against rape was hanged by Khameini regime on December 4 in Sepidar Prison in southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz, capital of Khuzestan Province, hence making her 98th woman to be hanged and executed during Rouhani’s tenure.

33-year-old Somayyeh Shahbazi Jahrouii had been imprisoned for six years for committing murder in self-defense against rape before she was hanged on the morning of December 4, according to her relatives.

According to a report by NCR-Iran, Iran’s Mullah regime is the world’s top executioner of women. The regime has executed at least 11 women in 2019 which his higher compared to the executions of the previous years, which were 6 in 2018, 10 in 2017 and 9 in 2016.

The report states that, most of the women convicted of murder in Iran are themselves victims of violence against women who committed murder in self-defense.

At the same time, the regime is shooting down protestors or killing them mercilessly under torture, most of them are women.

“At least 4,000 persons have been executed during Rouhani’s terms in office. The actual number of executions are much higher because the majority of executions in Iran are carried out secretly, away from the public eye,” the NCR-Iran report states.
