Tel Aviv – A Turkish-Hamas funding channel worth more than $100,000 was seized by Israel’s secret service agency Shin-Bet and Israel’s Defense Ministry, according to a ministry’s statement released on Monday.
Israel’s Defense Minister Benny Gantz signed orders to seize the goods and cash worth $121,000, that were transferred via commercial companies by Hamas members in Turkey to Hamas terrorists in the West Bank.
Earlier, in December 2020, Gantz signed an order to seize $4 million money that was wired from Iran to Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Defense Ministry, the money was intended to enhance Hamas’ terrorist capabilities in Gaza, including the production of weapons and paying salaries.
“We will continue to be relentless on terrorism and track down its infrastructure anywhere it exists in Israel or beyond,” Gantz said.
