Yogyakarta — Indonesia called on the United Nations to conduct a direct investigation into the deaths of three of its

Yogyakarta — Indonesia called on the United Nations to conduct a direct investigation into the deaths of three of its peacekeepers in southern Lebanon following Israeli strikes, a foreign ministry official said on Wednesday, citing concerns over the safety of U.N. personnel amid escalating regional hostilities.

Indonesia’s U.N. representative, Umar Hadi, made the request during an emergency Security Council meeting on Tuesday, urging an independent inquiry rather than relying on explanations provided by Israel.

The call comes after two separate incidents over the weekend in southern Lebanon that killed Indonesian troops serving under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).The Indonesian foreign ministry said earlier this week that ongoing Israeli military operations in the region had placed U.N. peacekeepers at significant risk.

The deaths occurred during a period of intensified violence that also saw Lebanese journalists and medical personnel killed in Israeli strikes. One of the victims, Farizal Rhomadhon, 28, died in an attack on Sunday.

Local media reported that he is survived by his wife and child. In his hometown in Yogyakarta, relatives gathered to mourn, with family members saying his body had yet to be returned to Indonesia.

Indonesia’s initial response to the deaths drew criticism domestically, particularly on social media, where users questioned the lack of clarity regarding the cause of the incident. Authorities had initially described the event as resulting from “indirect artillery fire.”

Preliminary findings cited by U.N. peacekeeping chief Jean-Pierre Lacroix indicated that a roadside explosion struck a convoy carrying two Indonesian peacekeepers on Monday.

The Israeli military said its internal review found no evidence that its forces had placed explosive devices in the area or conducted operations there at the time.

Indonesia is among the largest contributors to U.N. peacekeeping missions, with more than 2,700 personnel deployed as of 2024. The country has also pledged troops for a potential U.N.-mandated multinational stabilization force in Gaza.

Beijing— China has reached near the limits of its domestic oil production capacity after hitting a record high in 2025,

Beijing— China has reached near the limits of its domestic oil production capacity after hitting a record high in 2025, with output expected to plateau at around 4 million barrels per day for the next decade despite aggressive drilling and technological advances, analysts said.

The world’s largest oil importer boosted production through a combination of intensified drilling at ageing fields, offshore expansion and early-stage shale development, but experts say further gains will be constrained by rising costs and geological limits.

China’s output reached about 4.32 million barrels per day last year, and government targets outlined in its latest five-year plan call for maintaining production near 4 million bpd through 2030.

Industry observers view this level as a strategic baseline to support manufacturing and energy security.

Despite these efforts, China remains heavily dependent on imports, which stood at 11.55 million bpd last year, underscoring the structural gap between domestic supply and demand.

Zhu Weilin said national oil companies are working to sustain output at current levels to guard against supply disruptions, particularly as global markets face volatility.

Much of China’s production resilience comes from mature oilfields such as Daqing oil field, a cornerstone of the country’s energy sector for decades. The field continues to produce roughly 600,000 bpd, supported by advanced recovery techniques.

Engineers have deployed “tertiary recovery” methods, including chemical injection, to extract remaining reserves from ageing wells.

These techniques can increase output by about 20% compared to traditional water-injection methods. The scale of such operations has made China a global leader in enhanced oil recovery, with expertise exported to projects in countries including Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

While shale oil output is expected to grow and potentially double by 2035, analysts say it remains commercially challenging due to higher extraction costs and technical complexity.

Offshore production, another key driver of recent growth, is also showing signs of slowing expansion, further limiting upside potential.

The production plateau comes as China navigates shifting energy dynamics, including slowing economic growth and a transition toward electrification in transport, which is expected to temper demand growth over time.

At the same time, disruptions linked to conflict in the Middle East a region supplying roughly half of China’s crude imports have reinforced the importance of maintaining stable domestic output.

Washington — Two Israeli embassy staff members were shot dead by a ‘Free Palestine’ activist outside the Capital Jewish Museum

Washington — Two Israeli embassy staff members were shot dead by a ‘Free Palestine’ activist outside the Capital Jewish Museum in downtown Washington, D.C., on Wednesday night, in an attack that is being investigated as a potential hate crime by U.S. federal authorities.

The victims, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, both in their 30s, were described by colleagues as a young couple “in the prime of their lives.” They were attending a high-profile networking event hosted by the American Jewish Committee that aimed to connect young Jewish professionals with the diplomatic community, including aid workers engaged in humanitarian relief across the Middle East, including Gaza.

The shooting occurred around 9:08 p.m. local time as the couple exited the museum. According to police, the attacker approached a group of four individuals and fired at close range, killing two. The suspect was later identified as Elias Rodriguez, a 30-year-old resident of Chicago.

Who Is Elias Rodriguez?

Elias Rodriguez is known for his political activism and ties to left-wing protest movements. He has been associated with the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) and the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, according to media reports.

In 2017, Rodriguez took part in a protest outside the residence of then-Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. The demonstration — organized by groups including ANSWER Chicago, Black Lives Matter Women of Faith, and the People’s Congress of Resistance — marked the anniversary of Laquan McDonald’s murder by a Chicago police officer. During the rally, Rodriguez argued that systemic racism, economic inequality, and the city’s bid for an Amazon headquarters were interconnected injustices.

Laquan McDonald, a 17-year-old Black teenager, was fatally shot 16 times by officer Jason Van Dyke in a case that triggered nationwide outrage and became a defining moment in the U.S. police accountability movement.

The DC Shooting

Witnesses say Rodriguez was seen “pacing back and forth” outside the Capital Jewish Museum before the attack. After firing at the group, he reportedly entered the museum, initially claiming to be a victim and asking others to call the police.

When officers arrived, Rodriguez surrendered without resistance, raised his hands, and reportedly stated, “I did this.” He then pulled out a red keffiyeh — a traditional Middle Eastern scarf — and began chanting “Free Palestine” as he was detained by law enforcement. He continued chanting even while being removed from the premises. Later, Rodriguez led authorities to the location where he had discarded his weapon.

The FBI said it is examining whether the incident was driven by bias, ideology, or other extremist motivations.

Official Reactions and Global Outcry

President Donald Trump condemned the murders as “obviously based on antisemitism,” urging an end to hate-fueled violence in the U.S. Writing on Truth Social, he said, “These horrible D.C. killings must end, NOW! Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed outrage, describing the attack as a “heinous antisemitic murder.” He announced increased security at Israeli embassies worldwide and said, “My heart aches for the families of the beloved young man and woman, whose lives were cut short.”

Israeli Ambassador to the U.S., Yechiel Leiter, revealed that Lischinsky had planned to propose to Milgrim next week. “They were a beautiful couple with a future ahead of them,” he said in a press briefing.

Rising Security Concerns at Jewish Institutions

The Capital Jewish Museum, like many Jewish institutions across the United States, has been on high alert amid rising antisemitism. Executive Director Beatrice Gurwitz told NBC News — in an interview conducted before the attack — that the museum had recently received a security grant, in part due to the opening of a new exhibit on LGBTQ+ pride.

“Jewish institutions all around the country are concerned about security due to some very scary incidents and a climate of antisemitism,” she said.

Israeli embassy spokesperson Tal Naim Cohen confirmed that the two victims were shot at close range and expressed confidence that U.S. authorities would “ensure the safety of Israeli representatives and Jewish communities across America.”

JoJo Kalin, a board member of the American Jewish Committee and co-organizer of the event, said she was devastated but resolute. “This is tragic. But I will not lose my humanity or be deterred. Both Israelis and Palestinians deserve peace and dignity — and tragically, that was exactly what we were discussing when this violence unfolded.”

The investigation remains ongoing, with federal hate crime charges expected in the coming days.

Qatar has mastered the art of playing both victim and benefactor, using its immense wealth to bankroll global jihad while

Qatar has mastered the art of playing both victim and benefactor, using its immense wealth to bankroll global jihad while presenting itself as a progressive state.

For years, Qatar has skillfully played both sides of the geopolitical chessboard, presenting itself as a modern, progressive Gulf state while simultaneously acting as the primary financial hub for global jihadist movements. Despite its carefully curated image, Qatar has funneled billions of dollars into radical groups under the guise of humanitarian aid, enabling terrorism while avoiding serious repercussions from the international community.

Qatar’s Extensive Financial Reach

Qatar spends hundreds of millions of dollars annually on lobbying, PR campaigns, and political influence operations. Its financial influence extends to think tanks, universities, media organizations, and even K-12 education, ensuring its covert activities remain hidden. By embedding its ideology within education systems and funding institutions worldwide, Qatar has successfully shaped narratives in favor of its geopolitical ambitions.

In June 2024, journalist Christopher F. Rufo of Manhattan International exposed documents from the Portland Teachers’ Union, which encouraged over 4,500 members to “Teach Palestine!” The materials, sourced from various organizations—many partly funded by Qatar—were organized as a complete K-12 indoctrination guide. These educational resources aimed to instill an anti-American, pro-Islamist worldview in students, from kindergarteners being taught to protest to high schoolers perceiving the U.S. as a “terrorist state” and glorifying violent resistance as “revolutionary” or “freedom fighting”.

Additionally, the indoctrination program incorporated elements of “Queer” and “Sex Education”, tying them to the Palestinian cause. Even subjects like math were politicized, embedding lessons that linked equations to the Palestinian struggle. To mitigate potential emotional distress from learning about the so-called “genocide” in Gaza, teachers were provided with resources to help students cope with psychological trauma.

The Role of Al Jazeera in Propaganda

Qatar-funded Al Jazeera played a significant role in disseminating this educational content. The network, known for its pro-Palestinian bias, has long been accused of having ties to Hamas, a designated terrorist organization. Al Jazeera’s subsidiary, AJ+, has repeatedly failed to register under the U.S. Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), despite functioning as an overt propaganda tool.

Beyond merely supplying media content, Al Jazeera journalists have actively collaborated with Hamas operatives, ensuring Qatar’s ideological and financial support remains deeply embedded in global discourse. The network’s influence is so pervasive that it provides not only educational materials but also legal guidance for teachers facing pushback over the controversial curriculum they promote.

Qatar’s Decades-Long Infiltration of U.S. Public Schools

In addition to shaping narratives through nonprofit-backed teaching materials, Qatar has financially supported U.S. public schools for decades. The Qatar Foundation International (QFI), a Doha-based organization, has injected at least $30.6 million into public schools across the United States since its inception in 2009.

Investigative journalist Breccan F. Thies recently exposed Qatar’s extensive funding of K-12 education, with QFI financing Arabic language programs, teacher salaries, and school trips designed to push a pro-Qatar, pro-Palestinian narrative in American classrooms. Schools that accept QFI funding must report activities directly to Qatar and undergo oversight, including teacher evaluations conducted by Qatari officials. Some of these institutions even display maps that exclude Israel, labeling the region as “United Palestine”.

Beyond K-12 education, Qatar has also poured over $6 billion into elite U.S. universities—the same institutions where students today chant “Death to America” and “Globalize the Intifada”. By embedding itself within higher education, Qatar has successfully shaped anti-Western narratives and radicalized student activism against American interests.

Qatar: The Leading State Sponsor of Terrorism

Qatar has long been the world’s most prominent state sponsor of terrorism, funneling billions of dollars into jihadist groups under the pretense of humanitarian aid. Some of the most damning evidence includes:

Financial backing for Hamas, which has received hundreds of millions of dollars from Doha.

Hosting the Taliban’s political office in Doha while maintaining diplomatic relations with the U.S.

Funding Al-Qaeda affiliates and providing safe harbor to their operatives.

Sponsoring radical Islamist clerics who advocate for violence against the West.

Despite these activities, Qatar continues to operate under the guise of diplomacy, leveraging its financial power to maintain its reputation while simultaneously enabling terror organizations.

Qatar’s Role in the October 7th Massacre

On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a brutal attack against Israeli civilians, slaughtering innocent men, women, and children. As the world reeled in horror, Qatar’s response was to blame Israel—the very nation under attack. Instead of condemning Hamas, Qatar used its diplomatic channels to shield the terrorist group and ensure its survival.

Qatar has actively supported Hamas not only through funding but also by providing sanctuary for its leaders. The Qatari government advised Hamas to retain hostages as leverage, securing their position on the global stage. Additionally, Qatar’s state-funded media outlet, Al Jazeera, granted exclusive access to Hamas operatives, amplifying their propaganda while downplaying their atrocities.

The Depraved Hostage Negotiations

As bodies of murdered Israelis were returned, Hamas and Qatar played twisted games, using the dead as pawns in psychological warfare. Hamas handed over coffins filled with propaganda, some locked with keys that didn’t open, and in one of the most depraved acts, returned the body of an unknown person instead of the actual victim, Shiri Bibas.

The International Red Cross, instead of challenging Hamas’ manipulation, became complicit in these grotesque charades. In over 500 days, the Red Cross never once visited the hostages, failing in its duty to uphold humanitarian principles.

Why the West Allows Qatar to Evade Accountability

Despite overwhelming evidence of Qatar’s complicity in global terrorism, Western governments continue to turn a blind eye. The reasons are clear:

Economic Leverage: Qatar’s vast wealth, derived from its natural gas reserves, makes it a crucial economic partner for many Western nations.

Strategic Military Interests: The U.S. maintains its largest military base in the Middle East, Al Udeid Air Base, in Qatar.

Media Manipulation: Qatar strategically invests in public relations to maintain its influence, controlling narratives through Al Jazeera and other outlets.

Qatar’s Ultimate Goal: Global Influence Through Media and Politics

Beyond funding terrorism, Qatar is deeply invested in controlling global narratives. The establishment of Media City Qatar (MCQ) is part of a broader strategy to position Doha as a dominant player in the global media ecosystem. This initiative allows Qatar to infiltrate Western media from within, shaping perceptions while deflecting scrutiny of its terror ties.

A prime example of Qatar’s deception was its recent interview with Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Tucker Carlson. In a desperate attempt at damage control, the Qatari PM painted Qatar as a peaceful nation dedicated to humanitarian efforts. However, Carlson’s failure to challenge Doha’s role in enabling terrorism highlighted how Qatar has successfully manipulated even seasoned media figures into whitewashing its crimes.

Time to Hold Qatar Accountable

Qatar has mastered the art of playing both victim and benefactor, using its immense wealth to bankroll global jihad while presenting itself as a progressive state. This paradoxical strategy has allowed Doha to evade serious repercussions for far too long. It is time for the world to recognize Qatar for what it truly is: a terror state with blood on its hands.

The U.S. and its allies must take decisive action:

Designate Qatar as a state sponsor of terrorism.

Expel Qatari-funded entities from Western education systems.

Sanction Qatari officials and freeze assets linked to terror financing.

The West can no longer afford to ignore Qatar’s duplicity. The time to act is now.
