Riyadh – Saudi Arabia has reinforced its commitment to a fair and efficient labor market after conducting more than 370,000

Riyadh – Saudi Arabia has reinforced its commitment to a fair and efficient labor market after conducting more than 370,000 inspections of private sector establishments during the third quarter of 2025.

The inspections were carried out by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development as part of ongoing efforts to enhance compliance with labor regulations and support sustainable economic growth.

This large-scale inspection drive reflects the Kingdom’s broader Vision 2030 goals, which prioritize transparency, accountability, and improved operational efficiency across all sectors.

Officials noted that inspections play a crucial role in ensuring that workers’ rights are protected while maintaining a balanced relationship between employers and employees.

During the third quarter, more than 52,000 warnings were issued for minor violations, giving establishments the opportunity to correct issues without immediate penalties.

At the same time, decisive legal action was taken against over 116,000 serious violations, demonstrating the ministry’s firm approach to safeguarding labor standards.

These violations included matters related to workers’ rights, compliance with Saudization requirements, and adherence to occupational safety and health regulations.

By addressing such issues, the ministry aims to create safer workplaces and promote long-term stability within the private sector.

The inspection campaign also highlighted the importance of proactive compliance, encouraging businesses to adopt best practices before violations occur.

More than 60,000 establishments made use of the ministry’s self-assessment service, allowing employers to evaluate their compliance levels and take corrective measures independently.

This digital service has been widely welcomed by businesses, as it supports early intervention and reduces the likelihood of regulatory breaches.

In addition to labor compliance, the ministry placed strong emphasis on social inclusion during the quarter.

A total of 3,497 establishments received certification for successfully integrating persons with disabilities into their workforce, reinforcing inclusive employment policies.

This initiative aligns with national efforts to promote equal opportunities and ensure that all segments of society can participate in economic development.

Officials stressed that inclusive workplaces contribute to innovation, productivity, and social cohesion across the labor market.

The ministry continues to rely on integrated digital tools and data-driven monitoring systems to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of inspections.

These tools enable real-time tracking of compliance indicators and help inspectors focus on high-priority areas.

By combining technology with on-ground inspections, authorities are able to improve regulatory outcomes while reducing administrative burdens on compliant businesses.

The inspection results underline the Kingdom’s balanced approach, which combines enforcement with guidance and support for private sector growth.

Through continuous monitoring and engagement, the ministry seeks to build a culture of compliance that benefits employers, employees, and the wider economy.

As Saudi Arabia advances toward its Vision 2030 milestones, sustained labor market reforms remain central to attracting investment and strengthening workforce competitiveness.

The third-quarter inspection drive stands as a clear example of how effective governance and proactive regulation can support long-term economic resilience.
