Varanasi – The Agriculture Working Group’s first three-day G20 conference will begin on Monday in Varanasi.
The meeting of the Agriculture Working Group will take place over a three-day period from April 17–19, with participation from delegates from additional partner nations. The Uttar Pradesh government, headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has made all necessary preparations to ensure a spectacular organisation of the G20 events.
A message will be delivered over the course of the three-day event to encourage wholesome diets, food security, and environmentally responsible farming in order to maintain global health.
India is hosting the G20 this year with the motto “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.” In Varanasi, there will be a total of 6 G20 meetings. On April 17, the first of these sessions will begin. On the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s orders, the entire city has been exquisitely decked for this. Additionally, strict security measures have been put in place. The Hotel Taj will host the G20’s main summit. After that, there will also be a Kashi tour programme for the visitors, which will mostly involve boating activities in Sarnath, Ganga, the location of Lord Buddha’s birthplace.
Delegates to the G20 will also take part in Kashi’s renowned Ganga Aarti. Visitors from all around the world will also be able to observe the craftsmanship of Kashi’s traditional craftsmen.
Opening of MACS (Meeting of Agricultural Chief Scientists) 2023, Sustainable Agrifood System for Healthy People and Planet, took place on the first day of the conference in Varanasi. Additionally, the first session will cover food security and nutrition as well as the function of science, technology, and innovation. Resilient Agri-Food Systems will be the focus of the second session. The participants will also board a cruise in the evening to view Ganga Aarti.
A third session on the subject of Digital Agriculture and Sustainable Agri Value Chain will be scheduled on the second day of the meeting. Public Private Partnership in Agriculture R and D, Perspective from Developed and Developing Countries will be the subject of the fourth session. Only G20 members will take part in a discussion of the MACS (Meeting of Agricultural Chief Scientists) 2023 statement. In the evening, the guests will go to Sarnath. And see the light and sound shows, as well as the museum. At Buddha Theme Park, there will be a dinner and a cultural programme.
