Four Israeli troops killed in south Lebanon clashes with Hezbollah
Paris — The Israel Defense Forces said on Tuesday that four soldiers were killed during combat operations in southern Lebanon, where Israeli forces are engaged in ongoing clashes with Hezbollah.
In a statement, the military said three of the soldiers, all from the same battalion, “fell during combat,” while a fourth soldier, whose identity has not yet been cleared for publication, died in the same incident.
The Israeli military said one additional soldier was severely wounded and a reservist sustained moderate injuries. No further operational details about the engagement were disclosed.
The incident marks one of the deadliest reported clashes involving Israeli ground forces in southern Lebanon in recent days, as hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah continue to intensify.
