Humanoid Robot Showroom Launched in Riyadh as Kingdom Accelerates Automation
Riyadh – A new showroom dedicated to advanced humanoid robotics has opened in Riyadh, offering the public a first-hand look at emerging technologies that are expected to play a major role in Saudi Arabia’s industrial and economic transformation over the coming years as the country intensifies its high-tech development strategy.
The opening marks a major step in expanding access to next-generation robotics and bringing global innovation into local industries.
The initiative is the result of a partnership between the UK-based robotics developer Humanoid and Saudi Arabia’s QSS AI & Robotics, with the showroom located at the QSS headquarters in the capital to serve as a hub for demonstrations, collaboration, training and public engagement.
The facility, named the Humanoid Lounge, is designed as an interactive space where visitors can explore a range of robotic systems and gain insight into their capabilities in real-world environments.
The venue features live demonstrations, guided sessions and educational workshops that allow guests to interact directly with humanoid machines while learning about their applications across manufacturing, logistics, energy, retail and public services.

At the opening event, the spotlight was on HMND 01 Alpha Wheeled, the UK’s first industrial humanoid robot, which performed simulation tasks and showcased teleoperation features to demonstrate how remote control systems can enhance precision, safety and operational efficiency.
Visitors also engaged with interactive tools including a “talk to a robot” interface that allowed them to test responsive communication features and observe how the technology interprets and reacts to human input.
Developed by Humanoid in a span of seven months, HMND 01 Alpha Wheeled represents the type of rapid prototyping and scalable engineering that partners expect to bring to Saudi Arabia as part of the broader rollout.
Under the new agreement, Humanoid and QSS have established a pre-order framework for up to 10,000 humanoid units over the next five years, signaling one of the largest commitments to deploying humanoid robotics in the region and setting the stage for widespread integration.
QSS is preparing for local assembly of the robots at the Riyadh Robotics Factory, enabling faster distribution and adaptation to sector-specific needs across the country.
The facility is expected to support both manufacturing and customization, helping ensure that robotic systems meet the performance requirements of a rapidly evolving industrial environment and expanding the Kingdom’s capacity to lead in high-tech production.
Executives from both companies highlighted the significance of the new collaboration and its potential role in accelerating the adoption of robotics throughout the region.
