Dehradun Launches Nine-Point Sustainable Development Policy to Bolster Economy and Environment
Dehradun – Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday underscored his administration’s steadfast commitment to sustainable development, announcing the launch of a comprehensive nine-point policy aimed at harmonizing economic growth with environmental preservation in Uttarakhand.
The announcement came during the inauguration of the 24th annual conference of the Indian Association of Social Science Institutions (IASSI) at Doon University, a three-day gathering that brings together more than 400 delegates from across India.
The conference serves as a platform for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to explore innovative strategies in social sciences, with a strong focus this year on sustainable development, climate resilience, and livelihood security in the Himalayan region.
