Saudi Fashion Expo Threads Together Style, Sustainability & Innovation
Jeddah – The third Saudi Fashion and Textile Expo, held at the Jeddah International Exhibition and Events Center, is setting new standards for sustainable fashion and textile innovation in the Kingdom.
The event, running until Sunday, has drawn more than 550 exhibitors from 25 countries and over 10,000 visitors, including international designers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders. Organizers said the strong participation reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a global hub for fashion and trade, in line with the goals of Vision 2030.
“This is our first time in Jeddah, and the response has been remarkable,” said Filiz Karakul, managing director of international at Pyramids Group. “Global companies from Europe, Japan, Korea and beyond are showcasing innovative fabrics, yarns and sustainable products. The market potential here is very promising.”
The expo has put sustainability at the forefront, with designers and brands presenting eco-friendly textiles, recycled fabrics and plant-based materials. Saudi designer Hana Alhaddad showcased unique creations made from recycled waste, while international exhibitors such as Sophie Hallette from France and Casa Mastro Positano from Italy highlighted handcrafted lace and Italian linen adapted for Saudi styles.
Exhibitors from India and Japan also introduced fabrics designed for hot climates, including bamboo, linen and recycled polyester. “Sustainability is no longer an option — it is a necessity,” said Ivan Mastro, co-founder of Casa Mastro Positano.
Diplomats and cultural representatives from countries including Turkiye, France, Jordan and India attended the opening ceremony, underscoring the event’s international reach.
Among the highlights are the Vision Fashion Show, sustainability-focused seminars, and a B2B zone that has already hosted hundreds of trade meetings. Organizers say next year’s expo will be even larger, with major pavilions planned from Germany, Italy and Spain.
Industry experts view the event as a key step in positioning Saudi Arabia as a regional leader in fashion, sustainability and textile innovation.
