Riyadh — Saudi Arabia is emerging as a key player in international diplomacy, with its growing political and economic influence positioning it as a global peace hub. Mohammed Alhamed, a Saudi journalist and Founder and President of Saudi Elite, highlighted this role in a recent statement on social media.
“#SaudiArabia 🇸🇦 is a capital of global peace and plays a pivotal role in leading the world due to its importance and political and economic weight”, Alhamed stated.
The Kingdom’s diplomatic prominence is underscored by several recent developments:
- Former U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s significance, recalling that it was his first overseas visit during his tenure.
- Trump’s Special Envoy announced that Saudi Arabia will host a crucial peace meeting between Ukraine and Russia.
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that he will travel to Saudi Arabia next Monday to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (#MBS), further emphasizing Riyadh’s role in international conflict resolution.
The Kingdom’s increasing diplomatic leadership has garnered praise from global figures on Alhamed’s post.
Mohammed Abbasi, Director of the Association of British Muslims, remarked, “Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 is taking a lead on promotion of peaceful resolutions and is increasing in clout and leadership worldwide. Congratulations to all Saudis”.
UAE-based Peace Activist Loay Al-Shareef expressed optimism, saying, “High hopes for Saudi to make peace, inshallah”.

Trump’s Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff, announced that Saudi Arabia will host a crucial Ukraine-Russia peace summit, reinforcing Riyadh’s role as a key mediator. With Russia occupying 20% of Ukraine, Saudi Arabia’s neutral stance is vital for facilitating dialogue.
While Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also confirmed his visit to Saudi Arabia to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, underscoring Riyadh’s growing diplomatic influence.
