Indian Embassy in Riyadh Celebrates International Women’s Day with ‘Nari Shakti Vandana’


Riyadh — The Embassy of India in Riyadh marked International Women’s Day with a special event titled “Nari Shakti Vandana”, celebrating the spirit of women’s empowerment. The event highlighted the contributions of women in diplomacy, leadership, and society.

During the celebration, Counsellor Ms. Manusmriti and other distinguished women officers of the Embassy shared their inspiring thoughts, reflecting on the importance of gender equality and the role of women in shaping a progressive future.

Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia His Excellency Dr. Suhail Ajaz honored all the women officials of the Embassy, recognizing their dedication and invaluable contributions.

Saud Hafiz, a Saudi-based Indian-origin journalist, commended the initiative and emphasized the broader significance of International Women’s Day.

He stated, “This special occasion is also a reminder of the importance of gender equality. Every woman deserves respect, opportunities, and the freedom to follow her dreams without limitations. Empowering women means creating a world where they feel safe, valued, and supported in every aspect of life. It is about recognizing their rights, voices, and potential”.

He further extended his appreciation to the Embassy of India for its commitment to celebrating women’s achievements and championing the cause of empowerment.
