Riyadh – Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman recently received a phone call from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as reported by Saudi state media on Saturday.
During the conversation, the crown prince emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting all international efforts aimed at resolving the ongoing Ukrainian-Russian crisis. This information was relayed by the Saudi Press Agency and Al-Ekhbariya Television.
President Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia for hosting a meeting of national security advisers and representatives from various countries in Jeddah. The objective of the gathering was to discuss the Ukrainian crisis comprehensively. The meeting took place at the beginning of last month and attracted delegates from 40 nations, including prominent participants such as the United States and China.
During the discussions, Ukraine presented a 10-point peace formula, which reportedly received support from several attending countries. The proposal put forward by Ukraine aimed to find a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict and foster stability in the region.
In addition to the phone call, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman had the opportunity to meet President Zelensky in Jeddah on May 19, 2023. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the Arab Summit, providing an occasion for both leaders to engage in bilateral discussions and exchange views on various matters of mutual interest.
