Indian refugee from Sudan being treated by a Saudi medical team

Date:

Jeddah – At King Faisal Naval Base in Jeddah on Wednesday, a man from India who had been evacuated from Sudan got medical attention.

In the presence of Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom Suhel Ajaz Khan, who is in Jeddah welcoming evacuees, the Saudi Health Ministry’s medical team brought the guy to King Fahd General Hospital for more examinations.

India has established a transit centre in Jeddah and begun Operation Kaveri to rescue its citizens from the war-torn Sudan.

Another set of Sudanese refugees landed in Jeddah early on Wednesday on a Saudi naval ship as the Saudi government continued to make attempts to evacuate both its citizens and foreign nationals.

From Port Sudan on the Red Sea, the ship carried 1,687 passengers from 58 different nationalities.
