‘Alhamdulillah’ for Australia’s full-ban against Hezbollah: US Ex-Terror Finance Analyst

Washington – US ex-Terror Finance Analyst Jonathan Schanzer reacted with ‘Alhamdulillah’ over Australia’s decision to carry a full-ban against Hezbollah and for listing it as a ‘terrorist organization’ on Wednesday.

‘Alhamdulillah’ is an Arabic word used to thank God for favors. Schanzer tweeted it in the Arabic style to thank God for Australia’s latest move which was announced on Wednesday to extend an existing ban on Hezbollah’s armed units to the entire movement, which weilds considerable power over Lebanon.

Schanzer is senior vice president of research at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. He authored ‘Hamas vs. Fatah: The Struggle for Palestine’ in 2008, and ‘Al-Qaeda’s Armies: Middle East Affiliate Groups & The Next Generation of Terror’ in 2004. His latest work is ‘Gaza Conflict 2021’ which is based on the May 2021 Hamas-Israel conflict.
