Indian Navy Ship Talwar arrives at Saudi Arabia’s Jubail port

Dammam – Indian Navy Ship (INS) Talwar arrived at Saudi Arabia’s Jubail port on Saturday as part of growing Defense Corporation between Saudi Arabia and India.

Indian Embassy in Riyadh issued a Press Release stating that, “This port call by Indian Frigate underscores the friendly ties and multi-faceted corporation between India and Saudi Arabia”.

Indian Embassy officials, Eastern fleet of Royal Saudi Naval Forces, and Border Guard officials arrived to receive Talwar.

INS will be deployed in the gulf waters to ensure the safe passage of Indian merchant ships.

Talwar was designed by Russia’s Severnoye Design Bureau, and it was preceded by Brahmaputra-class frigates. The Indian Navy currently has six of these ships and plans to induct four more in the future.
