Pakistan PM calls their differences with Saudi Arabia as “rumors”

Islamabad – Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday called the reports about the dispute between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as “rumors” which are “totally false”.

While speaking to a private Pakistani news channel, PM Khan said, “The rumors that our relations with Saudi Arabia have soured are totally false”.

“Our relations are very good. We are constantly in touch”, he added.

About his foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s comments on Saudi Arabia this month regarding Kashmir, Khan said, “Saudi has its own foreign policy. We shouldn’t think that because we want something Saudi will do just that”.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s army chief Qamer Javed Bajwa arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday and held a meeting with Kingdom’s Vice President of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman.

Prince tweeted about the meeting that, “Met today with my brother, H.E. General Qamar Bajwa, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff. We discussed bilateral relations, military cooperation, and our common vision for preserving regional security”.
