Pokhara – World’s shortest man Khagendra Thapa Magar, as verified by Guinness World Records died on Friday at a hospital in Nepal’s Pokhara area after suffering from pneumonia.
27-year-old Magar’s brother Mahesh said “Magar was been in and out of Hospital many times due to pneumonia, but his heart was affected too this time. He passed away today.”
Magar who measured 67.08cm (2 feet 2.41 inches) was first declared the world’s shortest man in 2010, and was photographed holding a certificate only a bit smaller than him.
Magar eventually lost title to Chandra Bahadur Dangi from another place in Nepal, who measured who measured 54.6cm (1 foot, 9.5 inches), Dangi was discovered and named the world’s shortest mobile man. Magar regained the title after Dangi’s death in 2015.
His father Roop Bahadur said “He was so tiny when he was born that he could fit in the palm of your hand, and it was very hard to bathe him because he was so small,” according to Guinness World Records
