General Secretary of Jamiat Ahle-Hadees Punjab dies in Makkah

Makkah – General Secretary of Markazi Jamiat Ahle-Hadees Punjab, Pakistan passed away today before the Friday sermon in the grand mosque of al-Haram Makkah – Saudi Arabia.

Miya Mahmood Abbas, arrived in Makkah last week from Punjab – Pakistan to perform Umrah. He passed away whilst wearing ‘Ihram’.

The news surfaced the social media on Friday when a Jamiat’s member Faisal Alvi and Ibtisham Ilahi Zaheer tweeted his photo to inform about his death.

Cause of the death is still unknown, however local scholars and Jamiat members called the death to be ‘an honor’, since Muslims believe dying whilst wearing Ihram and on Friday is symbolically auspicious.
